SCHOOL CONSULTATIONS

A Calm, Steady Space for You to Get Unstuck

With firsthand experience working within a school setting, Alexandra understands the important role that collaboration between families, therapists, and educators plays in supporting a child or teen’s mental health. School consultations provide an opportunity to work closely with school professionals to better understand a student’s needs in the classroom. By sharing strategies and maintaining open communication, these consultations help address concerns related to anxiety, attention, social dynamics, learning disabilities, and behavioral challenges. The goal is to create consistent support across home, school, and therapy so students feel confident, understood, and able to thrive in their learning environment. When appropriate, consultations may also include school observations to gain additional insight into the student’s experience.

THERAPY CAN HELP

How School Consultations Can Help

School Consultations with ALB Therapy can help you as a parent:

✔️ Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support your child’s learning and emotional needs

✔️ Provide strategies for managing anxiety, ADHD, OCD, or other challenges in the classroom

✔️ Help develop individualized plans or accommodations to support academic success

✔️ Offer guidance on communication between home and school

✔️ Support smooth transitions, including grade changes, school moves, or returning after extended absences

✔️ Provide insight into social, emotional, and behavioral strategies for a positive school experience

You don’t have to wait until things feel “bad enough” to get help. Therapy can be a space to prevent crises, not just respond to them.

ADHD

Guiding kids and teens with ADHD to build focus, organization, and emotional regulation strategies to thrive in school and everyday life.

Athlete Mental Health

Developing resilience, confidence, and coping skills for young athletes to perform at their best both on and off the field.
