THERAPY CAN HELP

Who Individual Therapy Is For

Individual therapy with ALB Therapy is a good fit if you:

✔️ Feel weighed down by anxiety, worry, or constant “what if” thoughts

✔️ Notice OCD symptoms getting in the way of your daily life

✔️ Struggle with perfectionism, people‑pleasing, or burnout

✔️ Are juggling work, caregiving, and family responsibilities

✔️ Want support as you parent, while still caring for your own mental health

✔️ Feel like you “hold it all together” on the outside but are exhausted on the inside

You don’t have to wait until things feel “bad enough” to get help. Therapy can be a space to prevent crises, not just respond to them.

ALB THERAPY

What We Treat

Anxiety

Through CBT and other evidence-based approaches, kids and teens learn to manage worries, fears, or “what ifs” so they can feel confident in school, friendships, and daily life.

OCD

With evidence-based treatment (including ERP), kids and teens learn to manage intrusive thoughts, rituals, or compulsive behaviors and regain control in daily life.

ADHD

Guiding kids and teens with ADHD to build focus, organization, and emotional regulation strategies to thrive in school and everyday life.

Athlete Mental Health

Developing resilience, confidence, and coping skills for young athletes to perform at their best both on and off the field.

Grief and Illness

Supporting kids and teens in navigating the emotional impact of illness, loss, or family transitions through processing difficult feelings.

Third Culture Kids

Creating a space for kids and teens to explore identity, belonging, and the transitions of growing up between cultures, countries, or communities.

OUR APPROACH IS DIFFERENT

How Alex Works in Therapy

Alex’s style is warm, collaborative, and structured. You bring your lived experience and goals; Alex brings specialized training in OCD and anxiety, exposure‑based work, and a systems perspective that considers your roles at home, work, and in relationships.

In your sessions, you can expect to:

  • Set clear goals together and revisit them over time

  • Learn practical tools to manage anxiety and OCD in daily life

  • Explore patterns in your thoughts, feelings, and relationships

  • Practice new skills between sessions, with support and accountability

  • Move at a pace that feels challenging but not overwhelming

Alex’s background working in schools and with families gives her a grounded understanding of how stress and expectations build over time and show up in adult life.
